Step 1: Create lining
The eye area is very fragile and easily affected by even the slightest impact. Using a primer will not only nourish but also protect the eye area from harmful factors. In addition, this step also corrects skin pigmentation so that the eyeshadow layer has a beautiful color and better adhesion.
Step 1.1: Dot a small amount of foundation or eye primer on the upper and lower lashes
Step 1.2: Use a makeup sponge or brush to spread the cream evenly on the eyelids
In addition, dark circles can reduce the attractiveness of makeup. Therefore, you should use concealer products to brighten the skin under the eyes. Beauty Box will “reveal” a little tip for those who own concealer with low coverage. After applying concealer, wait about 5 minutes for the cream to dry before spreading the product evenly. The coverage of the cream will increase significantly when it dries.
Step 2: Apply eye color
In order for your eyes to be naturally decorated, you should only choose a few colors that have the same tone. The most popular colors today are earthy pink, peach orange, purple or light brown,… because they show youthfulness and elegance. Normally, 1 tone will have 4 eye colors together.
Simple rules when applying eyeshadow are:
Step 2.1: Apply neutral colors such as beige, light brown, orange or light pink… on the entire eye (from the eye socket to the corner of the eye)
Step 2.2: Choose a darker color and apply it to the upper eyelid like drawing eyeliner
Step 2.3: Use the same color to apply to the lower 1/3 of the outer eyelid
Step 2.4: Apply bright color powder (or eye shadow) to the center of the eye to create a sparkling eye effect
Step 3: Shape and draw eyebrows
In the eye makeup steps, choosing an eyebrow style that is proportionate to the face is very important. If you already own dark eyebrows, you just need to trim your eyebrows according to the existing shape. However, if your eyebrow color is not as desired, use an eyebrow pencil to reshape it. Depending on the face, different eyebrow shapes will be suitable such as horizontal eyebrows (suitable for long faces), bow/new moon eyebrows (suitable for square faces), V-shaped eyebrows, willow leaf eyebrows,…
The color should also be in harmony with the hair color. For example, if you have brown or black hair, you should choose an eyebrow color that is 1-2 tones lighter; If you have light brown or blonde hair, do the opposite – choose a darker eyebrow color. For red hair, the eyebrows should also be a light color like ash blonde or camel to match the brightness of the hair.
Follow these 3 simple steps to draw your eyebrows to help your eyes stand out more:
Step 3.1: Create a mold with eyebrow pencil
Step 3.2: Darken 1/3 of the eyebrow tail
Step 3.3: Use an eyebrow brush to gradually apply lighter color to the top of the eyebrows
Step 4: Use eyeliner or eyeliner pencil
Eyeliner will help your eyes become more sharp and attractive. If you are new to makeup or not familiar with eyeliner or liquid eyeliner, eyeliner will be easier to use.
Step 4.1: Draw a thin pencil line following the upper eyelid. For double eyelids, you should start from the outer 1/3 of the eye
Step 4.2: Extend the end of the eye a bit to create length for the eye
Step 5: Curl your eyelashes and apply mascara
Applying mascara will help complete your eye makeup. If eyeliner helps increase charm, curling eyelashes and applying mascara makes eyes bigger, rounder and more soulful. Mascara can easily get stuck on the eye area if you’re not careful, so follow the instructions below to make applying mascara less effortful:
Step 5.1: Looking down, curl your eyelashes gently from the eye socket outward to create a natural curl for your eyelashes.
Step 5.2: Apply mascara in a zigzag motion to thicken your lashes
